Actions and Words

 A friend who often goads, cajoles, or incites me to action puts it's this way: "Knoxville's a small town, there's not much to do."

But in fact, there is, as she well knows. In our community, our nation, and our world, there is much to do. And while God may not play dice with the world, sometimes our leaders do, and we must remind them of the obligation they took in service to the public.

From co-authoring a book about Park City to working part time in an urban ministry for two years teaching computer skills to at-risk youth and adults on probation, I find that sometimes, it is not enough to just talk about it. Sometimes, you just have to do something.
